Fudds Choice Burger: Avocado Crunch

This fall, try our new Avocado Crunch Burger, picked as one of the Top Three in the Fudds Choice Burger contest. Many franchise owners across the brand submitted their recipes and this is the second burger featured as a Limited Time Offer at the restaurants. Try it August 3 – September 13.

Daltex Management Group, owned by David Futrell and Ernest Crawford, has been in business since 1997. "I grew up in Texas and it was my favorite place to eat, so I knew I wanted to own a franchise one day," David said.

Today, David and Ernest own nine Fuddruckers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. David said it was the burgers that started his love for Fuddruckers. After purchasing the Fuddruckers franchise, he learned more about the unique features of the food like the baked-from-scratch buns, to the in-house prepared produce and toppings bar, to the fresh made sauces. The 1/2 lb. Original Burger with tomatoes and pickles is his favorite menu item.

In 2011, the Daltex Management Group had a $1,000 Burger Contest. They brought in four culinary experts to sample nine entrees to determine a winner. The Avocado Crunch Burger, from the Greenville location in Old Towne Village won! It was such a success, they added it to their menu and then created a Grilled Chicken Avocado Crunch Sandwich option. Now all Fuddruckers fans from across the country can try either for a limited time!

A fun fact about David, prior to owning a franchise, he played football on the National Championship Team in 1984 for BYU. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife and six-year old daughter.
